Lush

If you haven't been to Lush you have to go. I have walked by this store many times before thinking it was just like any other bath and body store, but its not. I went in there for the first time today after work with my co-worker, because she needed some soap and facial mask/scrub. At first I wasn't going to buy anything, but after looking around at all their cool products I just had to buy something.

This is what I got:

Champagne Supernova a smattering of fluorescent bubble mixture give it a frothy topping with splashes of bright pink.

Pop in the Bath a bright, uplifting blend of citrus essential oils to perk up your mind and body in a delightful bath of bubbles.

Our Trip to Europe

Wes and I took a two week vacation to Europe this summer and visited London and Paris.

Here are some of the highlights from our trip:

London -
London Eye
The Tube (riding it on the 2nd year anniversary of the London underground bombing)
House of Parliament
Buckingham Palace
Watching the first day of the Tour de France in Hyde Park
Hyde Park (walking in all of the parks was cool, but Hyde was the best)
Sitting 4th row at the Dirty Dancing show
Celebrating the 4th of July in another country at a carnival on a US air force base
Tower of London and the Tower Bridge
Eating at Nando's after going to two pubs at a Meetup social (met some great people from a tech startup in London called Trexy)
Kensington Gardens/Palace
The Swans trying to attack me in the park
Piccadilly Circus
Salvador Dali Museum

Paris -
Eiffel Tower
Gothic style churches/buildings
Going to a British Pub in France called The Princess and the Frog
Notre Dame
The Louvre
People with Mullets
Climbing up the Arc De Triumph
Shopping along Champs-Elysees
Playing around at the Renault racing shop
Seeing the French air force planes fly over us (thinking that it was the US coming to attack France, hehe)
Eating Mc D's in Paris (because that was the only place open to eat when we arrived late Sunday night)
All the cars parked on the sidewalks in Paris
Seeing fireworks and some crazy Gilles marching and playing music the night before Bastille Day

The Bite of Seattle is down at the Seattle Center this weekend, July 20, 21 and 22, 2007. I went two years ago and if your up for a nice relaxing day (hopefully in the sun) hanging in the beer garden, watching some bands, browsing all the art/booths and eating some okay food then you should go. Too bad I missed this. Jim was spotted at The Croc and then Coastal Kitchen.

BakeSpace.com

I found a new social networking site just for people who want to share their baking/cooking stories. Check it out: http://www.bakespace.com/

I haven't spent much time looking at it, but it sounds like a great site. It looks like there are already a lot of members in the Seattle area. I might have to join this site.

Yes, I'm still alive

I know it's been over a week since my last post, but yes, I'm still alive. Wes and I have been in London for the past week and we just made it to Paris today. London was great, we saw so much and met some great people. I'll post pics and write about my adventures when I get back to the states.
