Why Don't We Have a Dairy Queen in Seattle?
I can't think of a better place to eat. With all the great restaurants I've been to in Seattle, I still get excited when I see a Dairy Queen. They have everything you could ask for. A chicken burger, fries and an after dinner treat; whether it is a cookie dough blizzard or a swirl-chocolate dip cone. YUM!
Why don't we have a Dairy Queen in Seattle? We have fake Dairy Queens in Westlake and Northgate, but not the full meal deal. I found one in White Center, but does anyone really consider that Seattle? The closest Dairy Queen I can find is in Bellevue on 148th.
Basically all I wanted to say is: "I Love DQ!"

Seattle Thunderbirds 'Chuck a Puck'
Last night twelve of us went to the Seattle Thunderbirds vs. Everett Silvertips hockey game. I haven't been to a hockey game since I was in grade school. Hockey is such an exciting sport, almost like indoor soccer.
The most exciting part was in between the 2nd and 3rd period, they have 'chuck a puck'. I will try to explain 'chuck a puck', but you just have to go see it. You purchase as many soft foam pucks from the kids at their table for about $2 or $3 dollars each. Once it's time to 'chuck a puck', everyone stands up and throws their pucks on the ice rink. If you get it in the sunroof of the car, you win a prize and the first person that gets it in is entered to win $10,000 dollars. It's crazy, there are so many pucks being thrown in the air!

25 Restaurants for $25 Dollars
In just a few days, starting March 1st you can go to 25 restaurants for $25 dollars each. With all of the expensive restaurants that participate in this, it's such a great deal. This only happens twice a year, usually once in November and once in March.
You can eat at places such as: Brasa, Flying Fish, Ray's Boathouse, Zoe, Tulio and many more. There is usually 3 set meals you can choose from, including a starter, entree and dessert.
Here is their site listing all of the restaurants: http://www.nwsource.com/contests/restaurants/25for25_0307/
