Since I've been stuck at home eating only cold and soft foods, I created a very yummy smoothie today. It even tasted better than the one's at Jamba Juice.
Here's what I used:
1 fresh pear - cut off the outside skin layer before you slice the pear
1/2 cup of milk - I used non-fat
2 tablespoons of sugar
1 tablespoon of honey
1 container of Yoplait Light Harvest Peach yogurt
1 handful of Wawona frozen assorted fruits from Costco
Then you blend it all up, make sure the frozen fruits are blended and then Drink & Enjoy. It makes about 1 - 2 servings.

Danny Noriega sure does look like Jessica Alba
I found a picture of Danny Noriega this morning from last nights show and you can see the similarity more in him and Jessica Alba than the pictures I found on my blog post last night.

Danny Noriega looks like Jessica Alba?
Is it just me or does Danny Noriega from Season 7 of American Idol look like Jessica Alba? I really noticed it tonight when he first walked out onto the stage. If I find some pics from last night's show, I'll post them soon!
A Hip Bar in Ballard, can it be? Bar Loft
My friend Brittany's b-day was last weekend and we all went out to the Bar Loft in Ballard. This isn't the typical dive bar or hipster rocker bar that you usually find in Ballard. It was trendy, hip and a place where you would run into one of your old friends from college. The crowd was pretty young, anywhere from 22 to 35 years old. A lot of the guys looked like they had been in a frat in college and the girls seemed pretty down to earth.
I didn't get a chance to walk upstairs, but it seemed like a fun place to hang out with a group and play a little air hockey. If you're into people watching, upstairs is great place to look down at the big crowd. This place is suppose to be a sports bar. They have quite a few TV's on the walls that were playing the X Games or something similar to that.
The waiters and waitresses were very nice, but the bartenders weren't the best. We went up to the bar and the blonde girl bartender kept helping all the guys that just got there before she would even look at me. I had been standing at the bar where everyone else was ordering drinks looking at her the whole time and she was ignoring me. She could have just been really busy.
Other than the bartender, this bar was a great place to hang out, I would definitely go back again. Here's a pic of the front of the bar:

$5.4 million dollars of weed seized in Yakima
Growing up in Yakima, this doesn't surprise me. $5.4 million dollars of weed was seized from two different houses in Yakima and Selah. Did they have like a whole room from floor to ceiling full of weed? Were they growing it? I need more details!!! They did say that the weed might be from Mexico and the people living in the two houses had young kids. What a way to grow up.

Maurices Clothing Store
For the past 10 years or so I've been a big fan of the small store Maurcies. Their stores are only located in small cities or towns and the corporate office is in Minnesota. Their brand is affordable, fashionable, targeted towards the 20 something woman and they even have business appropriate clothing.
Even though they do not have an online store, they have 15 different stores in just the state of Washington. I have only been to 3 of their stores in WA, but I like Ellensburg's the best.

Clock Artist David Scherer
While we were in Cannon Beach this past December we stumbled upon a very cool art gallery that had the best Chai Tea EVER! Walking around this art gallery, DragonFire Studio & Gallery , appreciating all the great art, I saw David Scherer's clocks and I was very impressed. He creates very modern, colorful and textured pieces to portray energy in his art. Not only does he make wall, table and floor clocks, but he is famous for his 3-D paintings that remind me of Picasso.

Papa Murphy's Valentine's Day Heart Shaped Pizza
If you are like me and have to work until 9pm on Valentine's Day, you don't really have time for a romantic dinner with your loved one. You need to be creative and have fun with what you have time to do.
When I was watching American Idol tonight, I saw a great idea for a fast, cute, a little romantic dinner idea for a quick meal. It is the heart shaped pizza from Papa Murphy's. Even though it's just a pizza, it can still be fun to bake it together. You could even get more romantic, by adding wine or champagne, a delicious dessert, like Tiramisu and some candles in the center of the table.

Perfect Snow Gear
Two weeks ago I was up at Snoqualmie - Summit Central skiing and I saw the perfect snow outfit, HA. I was carrying my skis around the lodge all ready to go home and then I saw this...... bum bum bum some chick in street spring gear in the snow.

Green Tea Tiramisu at Ototo Sushi
It has been a long time, since I've had a dessert as good as the Green Tea Tiramisu at Ototo Sushi on Queen Anne Hill. Just look at the presentation below in the picture. It's just as good as it looks, but it's pretty rich, so share it with someone else.
