Wes is stuck going north on 99 right before the aurora bridge. He thinks that someone might be jumping off the bridge, because there are tons of flashing lights. I took a look at the emergency 911 website and there were 19 units called and the emergency was titled "rescue rope". So either, some did really jump off the bridge or a car fell off the bridge.

Do you get the mailers about joining the coalition to add higher "suicide fences" to 99? It's weird.
Do you think people walk there? If so, wouldn't the endorphins from working out maybe make them change their minds?

Man dies in leap from Aurora Bridge
A man jumped off the Aurora Bridge Wednesday night and died when he landed on 34th Street and Troll Avenue in Fremont, said Seattle police.
The man was first spotted about 9:45 p.m. by a passing Seattle police officer, who called negotiators, the Seattle police Harbor Unit and the Seattle Fire Department to the scene.
The man jumped about 10:30 p.m. and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Highway 99 was closed for about an hour, police spokesman Jeff Kappel said.

I was bicycling eastbound on N 34th St toward the Aurora Bridge, but was blocked by an SPD officer and shunted north 1/2 block up Troll Avenue.
I paused in an alleyway and met Hal, an eyewitness to the drama up on the bridge. I couldn't bear it, so I looked at Hal and said, "if he can just hang on things might turn for the better." But then came an awful loud crash, and Hal bowed his head and said "Jesus."
I live near the bridge just off bridgeway and like an idiot went down to see what all the lights were for. Another man killed himself on May 6th.
As depressed and suicidal as I am I would never want to upset so many people when I die but at least you wouldn't die alone. Even in the depths of despair people still make choices and deterrents like the bridge fencing do work
They don't for example jump off I-5 since it is harder to get onto it. so I hope they build it before someone else kills themselves and push me over the edge too.
