Ben & Jerry's Oatmeal Cookie Crunch

My favorite new ice cream is Ben & Jerry's Oatmeal Cookie Chunk. It's a mixture of creamy cinnamon ice cream with chunks of oatmeal cookies & fudge. You gotta try it.

Shopko's New Logo

All I can say is FINALLY Shopko is getting a new logo. The old logo is so late 80's/early 90's and reminds me of Rite Aid. The new logo is elegant and reminds me 50's style fashion.

Most people in Seattle do not know what a Shopko is. It's basically a small Target and in smaller towns. There are two in Yakima and 1 in Pullman, WA. Every time Wes and I drive down to Montesano we see one in Olympia also.

Are you going to ride the Seattle SLUT?

No, this isn't a porn blog post, it's about the S.L.U.T = South Lake Union Trolley. It's a short trolley ride from Westlake to South Lake Union costing $50.5 million dollars. I think it's more of a tourist attraction, than functional public transit for Seattle. The SLUT is suppose to open in December and is already selling Ride the SLUT T-shirts at Kapow! Coffee house on Harrison Street.

They have now renamed it the 'South Lake Union Streetcar' SLUS :)

The Real Facts About the Streetcar

Amazon Fresh - Groceries

If you are a busy person and would like food delivered to your door try Amazon Fresh. I would rather come home from work and have my groceries sitting at my door, than go to the crowded grocery store and wait in long lines and not be able to start cooking dinner until 7pm.

Amazon's new grocery delivery service is in Mercer Island, Bellevue, Kirkland, Capitol Hill and Queen Anne.
If you try this, let me know how you like it.

Dan Wilson in Yakima

About two to three weeks ago Wes and I went to the Bears game in Yakima with my family to see Dan Wilson make an appearance on Sunday's game. We were up camping at Nooksack (near Bellingham) Friday and Saturday and I started to get the flu Saturday so we drove back to Seattle that night and didn't drive to Yakima until Sunday morning. Even though I was feeling horrible I still wanted to go to the baseball game. My parents got us tickets and Dan Wilson was my favorite Mariner (oh and I liked Jose Cruz Jr. the best too) so I had to tuff it out.

We made it to Yakima and sat only a few rows up, but the stadium really isn't that big. Every seat is pretty much a good seat. Dan was going to throw the first pitch before the game and donates all the money he made that night to a kids foundation. Usually when the Bears get famous baseball players to come make an appearance they have to pay them to come, but Dan Wilson out of the good of his heart came for free.

After his first pitch he was going to sign autographs, so my parents and I ran down and waited in line for about an hour to get his autograph. I was very excited, but while we were waiting in line I had to keep sitting down because I was so sick.

Here are some great pics from that day:
