Villa Victoria Tamales

Villa Victoria sounds like such a delicious place to eat. They serve homemade tamales, just the Los Hernandez in Yakima.

I doubt they make tamales as good as Los Hernandez, but they may make the best burritos, salsas, salads, guacamole. I guess I'll just have to go to find out. Has anyone else ate at Villa Victoria? The are located in Columbia City right off Rainer and Edmunds Street in Seattle.

Your Neighborhood Walk Score

My walk score was 71 out of 100. I must live in a great neighborhood to walk in. What is yours? I heard about this website from Alex Garcia.

"What's Walk Score? We help home buyers, renters, and real estate agents find houses and apartments in great neighborhoods. Walk Score shows you a map of what's nearby and calculates a Walk Score for any property. Buying a house in a walkable neighborhood is good for your health and good for the environment. "

Spitfire Sports Bar in Belltown

This past monday Wes and I meet some of his old Onvia friends at a sports bar in belltown called Spitfire. The bar is very spacious and there are tons of TV's on the wall, so matter what direction you are facing you can watch the game. The service was horrible. The waitress would only come back every 20-30 minutes (we even timed it) to ask us if we wanted another drink or food. Then at the very end Wes and I were leaving early, so we asked to pay for our food/drinks. She split ours out, but then charged the whole bill on Wes's credit card. EK!

Cool place though, maybe I would go back if there was better service. Also, the food was pretty good, for bar food.

Vertigo - New Bar in Bellevue

Last night Jaime, Courtney, Meghan and I went to this new hot club in bellevue called Vertigo. It's a restaurant during the day and lounge with a Vegas feeling at night. It's located on 112th below the 989 Elements apartment building.

When we walked in, I didn't feel like I was in bellevue. There were white chairs, white/black tables, white leather couches and a small dance floor with a DJ. The ceiling was open, so you could see all the pipes to put a industrial style to the club. The walls were mostly white, except for all the colorful lights.

This is not the type of place I would usually hang out at, I would rather go to a dive bar. I don't think I will go out here again, but maybe for dinner.

Doggie Door

I really want to get a doggie door for Kokanee. She loves going outside all the time and I think this would allow her to go play in the yard when she wants.

Shells with Crispy Pancetta and Spinach

I was watching Giada on the the Food Network this morning making this recipe: 'Shells with Crispy Pancetta and Spinach '. It looked so delicious and the reviews overall are pretty good online, but there are a few bad reviews. I might have to try to make these sometime.
