Wes, Monica, Raymond and I all went Salsa dancing last night for the first time. At the Century Ballroom on capitol hill, they teach a lesson and then have open dance like a bar. Wes and I have been taking Lindy Hop lessons there, but this was a totally different style of dance. You use more of your hips and it seems slower than Lindy Hop.
During the lesson you learn the steps by yourself and then you partner up with someone and go around the circle switching partners every few minutes. Having different dance partners is great because you get to learn different ways to move.
I really want to take some lessons and learn more moves!
